PEBC study plan and checklist

A practical eight-week structure for candidates who want a cleaner way to organize official resources, original practice, weak-topic review, and timed sessions.

This is an independent study-planning resource. It does not replace PEBC instructions, regulator requirements, current references, or professional judgment.

Eight-week framework

Study in loops: learn, practise, review, adjust.

Week 1: Baseline and exam map

  • Confirm your current exam pathway and target window.
  • Read official exam information directly from PEBC and your regulator.
  • Complete a short diagnostic or sample practice set.

Weeks 2 to 4: Core topic blocks

  • Study one high-yield topic block at a time.
  • Mix notes, original practice questions, calculations, and explanation review.
  • Track weak areas instead of only tracking total score.

Weeks 5 to 7: Timed practice

  • Add timed MCQ sessions and review unanswered questions.
  • Use mock practice to test pacing and topic coverage.
  • Revisit missed topics with current Canadian references where needed.

Week 8: Consolidation

  • Prioritize recurring weak topics and common reasoning mistakes.
  • Review formulas, legal/ethical concepts, and patient-safety principles.
  • Avoid new unverified sources or recalled-question claims close to exam day.

Checklist

Use the first session to reduce uncertainty.

Good preparation starts with a clear target, a repeatable weekly routine, and an honest weak-topic list. RPHprep is designed to support that loop as reviewed content becomes available.

First-session checklist

  • Exam pathway selected
  • Target window recorded
  • Weekly study hours chosen
  • Baseline sample set completed
  • Weak-topic list started
  • Timed practice scheduled
